Abstract:- Chiral pool amino acids have been used as powerful tools for the synthesis of structurally diverse natural products. Some common amino acids are readily available in both enantiomerically pure forms. Chiral pool approach is highly attractive in asymmetric total synthesis of bioactive natural products with diverse and complex architectures. In this context this presentation will address the details of the use of amino acids as chiral pool in total synthesis of natural products.
